Monaco 2013, le 7ème forum Peace and Sport de retour en principauté.
Un rassemblement de plus de 700 participants qui aura appuyé de nombreux projets de « paix par le sport ».
Trois jours de débats pendant lesquels, des spécialistes venus de très nombreux pays ont défini leurs nombreuses actions qui aident à construire la Paix durable par le sport. En rendant hommage à la maturité atteinte par le mouvement de la paix par le sport, ce 7ème forum international aura permis de faire découvrir aux participants le potentiel et la pertinence de l’investissement dans le sport au profit de la société. Ce lieu de discussion et de réflexion au service de l’action a donc proposé et offert à tous, des solutions concrètes et permis de prendre des engagements sur le long terme, pour chacun de leur pays.
Voulu par le Prince Albert II de Monaco et par Joël Bouzou, ce Forum international, inauguré en 2007, devait faire se réunir, ce premier soir, les très nombreux participants au cours d’un cocktail de bienvenue, suivi d’une cérémonie d’ouverture, tout ceci à l’Opéra Garnier et d’un dîner offert à la salle Léo Ferré, bien entendu, présence du Prince Albert II. Parmi les orateurs, on notait la présence de Michèle Alliot-Marie, de France de S.E Dr Hassan Arero Wario du Kenya, de S.E Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmonau de Trinidad et Tobago, de S.E Mrs Aminata Maïga Keita, la première dame du Mali, de Joël Bouzou et bien entendu du Prince Albert II de Monaco.
« Le sport, un outil de construction de la Paix au service des gouvernements » fut le thème abordé, par des invités, tous spécialistes de ces questions.
La soirée de remise des Awards à la salle des Etoiles, aura permis à tous les invités de participer à une rencontre avec la Princesse Charlène, présente pour le plus grand plaisir de tous. Huit Awards furent remis, pour 80 candidatures dans 8 catégories et ceci vers 38 pays. Ensuite, 23 initiatives furent nominées par un jury composé de 8 éminentes personnalités investies au plus haut niveau dans des activités sociales et éducatives par le sport.
Au cours de ce forum 2013 de Peace and Sport, on a pu croiser dans les conférences et autres débat plusieurs sportifs internationaux et Laura Flessel, Tony Estanguet, Wilson Kipketer ainsi que d’autres champions de la Paix nommés par l’organisation, au cours de ce forum.
D’autres rendez-vous internationaux sont déjà au calendrier de « Peace and Sport » et toute l’équipe est prête à relever le prochain défi pour que le sport soit un vecteur de paix sur toute la planète.

Monaco 2013, 7th Forum for Peace and Sport back in the principality of Monaco gathering of more than 7000 participants that will have upheld numerous projects promoting « peace by sport »
Three days of talks during which specialists, from many countries defined their numerous actions to help build a lasting peace thru sport. By honouring the maturity reached by the movement for peace thru sport, this 7th international Forum will have allowed the participants to discover the potential and pertinence of investing in sports for the greatest benefit of society at large. This place of discussion and reflection at the service of action has thus proposed and offered to all, concrete solutions and allowed for long-term commitments to be made, for each of their countries. Prompted by Prince Albert the Second of Monaco and by Joel Bouzou, this international Forum, inaugurated in 2007, was meant to gather, on its very first evening, many participants around a welcoming cocktail, followed by an opening ceremony, all this taking place at the Garnier Opera with a dinner offered at the Leo Ferre concert hall, with, of course Prince Albert the Second attending. Among the speakers, there were Michele Alliot Marie, from France, S.E. Dr Hassan Arero from Kenya, S.E. Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmoneau from Trinidad and Tobago, S.E. Mrs. Aminata Maiga Keita, first lady from Mali, Joel Bouzou and of course Prince Albert the Second from Monaco.
« Sport, a tool to build peace at the service of governments », was the theme brought up by the guests, all specialists of this topic.
The evening where awards were given out at the Etoiles Show room, will have enabled all guests to take part to a meeting with Princess Charlene, present for the greatest pleasure of all. Eight awards were given out, for 80 applications in eight categories involving 38 countries. Then, 23 initiatives were nominated by a jury made up of 8 prominent personalities who have put a lot at the highest level in social and educational activities thru sport.
During this 2013 Forum for Peace and Sport, we were able to see in the conferences several international sportsmen and women as Laura Flessel, Tony Estanguet, Wilson Kipketer and other champions for peace nominated by the organisation, all during the forum.
Other international gatherings are already scheduled by « Peace and Sport » and the whole team is ready to take up the next challenge so that sport really becomes a vector for peace all over the planet.
